I've seen a lot of guys on here using Grindr. I was incredibly happy when I stopped using this app, and I just wanted to give advice to help save you guys some stress. Even when you remove the terrible people, Grindr is by itself, a bad app. If you keep buying shit, you're going to keep getting shit. Full disclaimer, I have not used Grindr in a couple months.
Some of these issues might have been patched. But we'll see. First off, Grindr users are disgustingly limited on profile space.
Every user gets ONE (just one) picture to display on profiles. They have a whopping 161 characters available to make a profile. Grindr profiles are just less than two Tweets worth of content. Want to talk about frustrating? Running Grindr brings a device’s operations to a grinding halt (ha). Even with no other apps running, Grindr brings waves of lag and glitches to any device.
Menus load slowly, returning to the home screen takes several seconds, and transitioning between windows is chunky, rough, and uncoordinated. Third: Grindr destroys batteries. I understand that Wi-Fi, large amounts of data usage, and especially location services and GPS require a lot of energy, but compared to other apps, Grindr puts an especially short fuse on battery life. I have tested, and Grindr can consume up to a third more battery life than it’s competitors in a day.
Constantly emptying and recharging batteries always decreases the overall max charge a battery can hold. Grindr just acts as a catalyst in battery degradation. While we’re on the topic of batteries and settings, let’s talk about the crashes. WOW, the crashes.
Grindr Xtra Hack Android
It’s something that’s made Grindr famous. (That’s not a good thing.) An app should crash when something is seriously wrong with it, not when it’s getting regular usage. There are also plenty of other features present in Grindr’s competitors (interested feature, selective unblocking, who viewed you profile list) have for free that are not present in Grindr.
It’s bare-bones usage. But I COULD be willing to overlook all those other flaws if it wasn’t for Grindr’s fatal flaw.

Examples of PK2 files include Media.pk2, Music.pk2, Map.pk2, and Particles.pk2. •.pk2 File Type Silkroad Online Game Data File File Format Proprietary (Joymax) Usage Referenced by an application; not meant to be opened manually; may run a program or script when opened Rank ★ ★ ☆ Average Description Contains game data used by Silkroad, a massively-multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Joymax, a South Korean company; may contain game graphics, sounds, music, etc; saved in a compressed and encrypted format.
It’s the nail in the coffin; the end all reason that Grindr is at the bottom of the can for networking apps. Having to pay for push notifications. Not having push notifications enabled defeats the purpose of a location-based app. Location based networking is ONLY effective if its notifications exceed the program run-screen itself. Look at it practically. I want to turn on an app, and go about my daily business.
When I get some free time, I’ll check the app, but I’m not going to be buried in it. If I’m going through my motions, but someone wants to meet up for coffee or lunch or something (that’s what they meet for, right?) the only way I know they’re interested is if I open Grindr and respond to them. Provided that they are still in the area, and they have Grindr open too, maybe we can converse a bit. If I don't get any notification that someone has messaged me, why am I even carrying the app around? You should be able to get push notifications for FREE.
Isn’t that the POINT of the app? So that when I message someone, or someone messages me, We actually notice it? TL;DR Grindr is terrible by itself, and it will not change if you keep buying it. Am I the only one who actually loves Grindr? I pay for Grindr Xtra and all of OP's issues are what I like to call 'nitpicking'. So to respond:. 'First off, Grindr users are disgustingly limited on profile space' - Who cares?
I don't need your life story, I need a pic and a few words, that's it. It's Grindr, not OKcupid.' Running Grindr brings a device’s operations to a grinding halt' - I've NEVER had it lag on my phone or crash even once (I use an iPhone 5). 'Third: Grindr destroys batteries' - Not something I notice.

Wahed K This apps privacy policy alone should make you run to the neighbour hood bar to meet others. If you decide to use the app, you’ll quickly discover how greedy and aggressive the app has become when using the free version. Almost every other tap pops a push splash page ad, a video ad or some stupid blog.
Screening of profiles makes no sense. G rated pics get rejected but other almost x rated pics get approved. Reporting a profile or a photo is a joke.
No action for days if even that when reporting underage profiles, offensive profile pictures and or spam. Phishing bots are another problem at times. Inflation of number of users online is a major problem. Users show online when they have logged off longtime ago. The only way to logout of the app is to delete the app. When users quit the app, profile status shows online for at least 11 minutes after the user have switched apps which is a problem. False online status results in friends blacking your profile thinking you are ignoring them where you actually have logged off long time ago.
Bottomline bad app, greedy company and invasive privacy policies. This apps privacy policy alone should make you run to the neighbour hood bar to meet others. What I’m tired of is that there’s an ad every time you click on something and they’re all timed. So what used to be a quick jump on to check messages and arrange a quicky has turned into sitting through a 30-second ad and getting annoyed and deciding it’s not worth it anymore. They also move the X to close the app to different corners and put it in places where it’s darn near impossible to not open the ad.
Also, I can’t leave this one alone; someone mentioned something about the app showing your online when you’re not, Which does happen. However, if people are really stressing that much and can’t handle not receiving an immediate response, they should go someplace and meet people in person. Technology, such as this, was originally intended to allow people to communicate more efficiently with the premise that you can do so when it’s convenient. If some dude I’ve never met in person believes he should be the most important thing in my life, then I’m moving on. Have some dignity.

Not to mention that I had a pic get rejected even though everything was covered but a pic of me in very revealing underwear where you could see certain things, or the beginning of them, got approved. Oh and the very best part?? The fing spam bots!!!! I have seriously received like 20 of them in my inbox in the last two days alone. It is freaking ridiculous. This app is a complete fing joke when it comes to security and all that bs. Oh and the fact that it is the only app that you don’t get message notifications unless you pay for pro.
Talk about money hungry. Like for real?? Being on the app all the time is too time consuming and drains your battery.
So not worth the money for pro. There are a lot of better apps out there that offer the simple basics for free. Like NO SPAM BOTS, push notifications. Actually logging you off when you close the app. And appropriate profile pictures. Not only are the pop up adds ridiculous. Like every time you click on a profile or your message an ad pops up.
